Terms and Conditions
Learning Communities Network (herby referred to as LCN) operates under the following terms and conditions:
1. Course Bookings
All course fees must be paid in full upon registering for the course. Settlement of the invoice is only deemed to have happened when the full amount has been paid and cleared. Bookings and payment are to be made online.
If your employer is purchasing the course on your behalf, invoices will be raised within 48 hours of you contacting LCN. Payment must be made within 15 working days of the invoice date. If you have to cancel see our policy below.
Your course fee covers tuition during the times as shown for each session. The full fee is payable on booking to secure your place.
To participate in our online sessions it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the following:
- a computer or laptop or tablet with a fully updated browser, all in fully working order
- an up to date email address (preferably not a work related or ‘info@’ one which sometimes reject external emails as spam)
- an adequate and reliable internet connection sufficient to join this type of session which involves video
- a microphone and camera, usually integrated into your device, or a webcam and headset attached separately
Please note that LCN cannot accept any responsibility for technical outages of your internet system or equipment.
If Zoom conferencing suffers an outage during the scheduled time for your workshop, LCN will reschedule that session.
2. Consultancy Fees
Consultancy fees will be agreed with the client prior to commencement. 25% of the fee is payable immediately. 50% upon commencement of delivery of the Learning Community and 25% upon completion.
3. Cancellations
Cancellation by student
- If you have to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. Your booking will be considered cancelled from the time at which you inform us of your wish to cancel
- If, for any reason, you cancel your booking more than one calendar month before the start of the session, the fee will be refunded, minus a £25 administration fee
- No refunds can be made and no transfers will be offered to those who cancel, for whatever reason, within one calendar month of the start of the session
- No refunds will be made if you cancel but you can give your place to someone else – see Transfers below
- No reductions or refunds are available to students arriving late or leaving early
4. Cancellation by LCN
In the unlikely event that a workshop is under-booked we reserve the right to cancel the workshop. We will give you as much warning as possible by contacting you on the email address you gave us when you registered. We will happily refund the cost of the workshop or transfer you to an alternative course (equal value).
5. Changes to Courses
LCN reserves the right to amend any course, course times, dates or published prices. Changes to course price, times and dates will be advised before the course start date and any course already paid in full will not be subject to the increased price.
6. Transferring your booking
You can transfer your place on a session to another person at any point before it starts. If you send someone in your place please contact us by email and provide their name, phone number and email address before the workshop. As part of our safeguarding policy, only the person named will have access to the zoom link (see below).
7. Safeguarding
Learning Communities Network is committed to a safe, inclusive and respectful community. In purchasing your course place you are confirming that you are over 18 years of age.
To ensure participants remain safe, all sessions and videos are password protected. Your fee covers you only (see also Transferring your booking above), and you alone will be authenticated on joining the session. The sharing of zoom links, joining instructions and passwords is strictly prohibited.
All members of our Learning Communities are expected to behave in ways that promote a supportive, inclusive and effective learning environment. We ask that you ensure that all content you share is respectful, inclusive and polite. Racist, sexist, bullying, and discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated in any format, and Learning Communities Network reserve the right to remove anyone engaging in such behaviour.
